Job summary

NHS Jobs is seeking a Night Support Worker for a 24-hour residential service near Llandovery, Carmarthenshire. The role involves 12-hour night shifts within a full-time schedule, delivering compassionate, person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Full training is provided, with induction and ongoing development. Salary is paid hourly, and sponsorship is not available; new starter and referral bonuses are offered to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• You don't need previous care experience to join us. We provide comprehensive induction training and ongoing support.
• No previous experience required - full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Providing compassionate, person-centred support while promoting dignity, choice and respect
• Supporting individuals with personal care and daily living activities
• Assisting with meal preparation and encouraging healthy lifestyles
• Maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable home environment
• Helping individuals develop independence and essential life skills
• Supporting access to education, leisure and community activities
• Following support plans, positive behaviour support strategies and risk assessments
• Administering medication following training and competency assessments
• Maintaining accurate records and contributing to effective handovers
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals
