Job summary

Prime Life in Lincoln is seeking Night Support Workers to provide compassionate care for residents with learning disabilities and mental health needs. Roles include night shifts from 8pm to 8am, with options for full or part-time commitments and a supportive team environment.

You will contribute to residents' dignity and wellbeing, assisting with personal care, daily routines, meals, and activities, while working closely with colleagues to tailor individual care plans.

Qualifications

  • A genuine caring nature and desire to make a real difference for residents.
  • Experience as a Support Worker or Care Assistant is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.
  • Patient, understanding and respectful of residents’ individual abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Encourage residents to achieve the highest possible quality of life.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Assist residents with daily living decisions and personal care.
  • Support residents in participating in recreational activities.
  • Help residents settle for the night and ensure a comfortable sleep.
  • Promote independence in meals and food preparation as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop individual care plans.

Prime Life are on the lookout for passionate and dedicated care professionals to join our friendly team as a Night Support Worker, on a full or part time basis. At present, we have several vacancies available and are keen to meet with candidates as soon as possible for interviews.

This role will be based at Cherry Tree Lodge, in the heart of Lincoln. The home has been specially designed to cater to the every need of 18 residents, living with a range of learning disabilities and mental health conditions that require dignified support from our caring team. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding and respectful of our resident’s individual abilities.

Responsibilities of our Night Support Worker include:
  • Encouraging residents to achieve the highest possible quality of life that is right for them
  • Providing companionship whilst giving emotional and practical support
  • Assisting residents to participate in any decisions relating to their daily living arrangements
  • Assisting residents with their with personal care and in undertaking recreational activities
  • Assisting residents to retire for the evening and enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep
  • Promoting resident independence in the preparation of food and/or at mealtimes
  • Working with other professionals to provide individualised care and development plans
What we’re looking for in our Night Support Worker:

To be successful within this role, you will have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for our residents. Though prior experience as a Support worker or Care Assistant is desirable, this is not essential as full training is provided. Typically, our residents live with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and physical disabilities that require dignified support from our care team. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding and respectful of our resident’s individual abilities.
