Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is recruiting a Supermarket Assistant to support customers with a friendly, partner-led service at our Waitrose store. Your role will include stock replenishment, handling online orders for delivery, and contributing to a high standard of store presentation.

You will work as part of a team across varied shifts to ensure great shopping experiences. The position offers part-time hours (22.5 per week) across seven days, with potential flexible/ compressed hours.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a team and with our customers.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment – ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place for customers.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver to customers' doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns to those nearing sell-by dates.
• Working with the wider shop team to support when needed including checkout support and Click & Collect orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
