Job summary

Corps Security in Abingdon is seeking a skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to maintain a secure environment, manage access control, brief visitors and conduct site patrols in coordination with Site Management and emergency services. You will work 42 hours per week on night shifts (4 on, 4 off, 19:00–07:00).

The role includes recording activities, responding to incidents, and adhering to procedures; strong customer focus and IT literacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front‑Line License - essential.
• A valid SIA CCTV License - desirable.
• Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure.
• Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain surveillance of the site with routine patrols and recording as required.
• Brief and sign in/out all visitors and contractors.
• Record entry/exit of deliveries and process paperwork per procedures.
• Ensure patrols meet required standards.
• Set/unset alarm systems for out-of-hours security if applicable.
• Comply with site waste management procedures.
• Complete incident logs, handovers and site reports.
• Maintain training records and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
