Job summary

Pro-Force Recruitment is seeking a Warehouse Operative for the night shift in Maidstone. You will be responsible for safe receipt, storage, picking, loading, and dispatch of products, including processing returns and maintaining stock accuracy.

The role requires previous warehouse experience, good communication, attention to detail, and an EPT licence/certificate is preferred. A 4 on / 4 off shift pattern and commuting capability are noted.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Numerate with good attention to detail.
• EPT licence/certificate preferred.
• Safe manual handling technique.
• Experience in temperature-controlled or food distribution.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Knowledge of stock control processes.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily and weekly stock checks.
• Maintain high standards of warehouse housekeeping.
• Keep storage areas organised and hazard-free.
• Empty waste bins and keep disposal areas clean.
• Inspect trailers and hygiene procedures before loading.
• Store products safely and securely.
• Report accidents, hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and housekeeping standards.
• Process returns per company procedures.
• Liaise with the Traffic Office regarding returned products.
• Assist with unloading trailers containing returns.
• Complete returns documentation accurately.
• Label, segregate, and store returned pallets for traceability.
• Escalate discrepancies or damaged goods promptly.
• Collaborate with Warehouse, Transport, and Customer Service to resolve returns quickly.
