Job summary

Yeo Valley Farms (Production) Ltd is seeking a Technical Operator for the Nights team at Newton Abbot. The role runs 4 nights on, 4 nights off from 18:00 to 06:00, supporting complex processes and maintenance to optimise machines and meet KPI targets.

You will perform routine checks, uphold hygiene and GMP standards, lead fault finding and root-cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering for escalations.

• Experience as a machine operator in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Undertake routine checks to validate and maintain equipment safety controls and escalate issues.
• Contribute to quality management systems and ensure procedures are followed to meet safety and quality standards.
• Adhere to GMP, hygiene, PPE and site dress code; promote a clean as you go approach.
• Operate and optimise equipment to meet production demand and KPI targets.
• Perform advanced fault finding and root-cause analysis, escalating to engineering when needed.
• Maintain and clean equipment to ensure reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with the team for smooth handovers and shared problem-solving.
• Motivate the team with a proactive, energetic approach.
