Job summary

Meallmore in Ayr is seeking a Nightshift Senior Care Assistant to join our care home at Greenan Manor. You will support the Registered Nurse and Lead the care team during night shifts, delivering person-centred care and ensuring residents enjoy their best lives.

We offer a 6-month progression with salary increments and opportunities for career development. A fulltime wage is provided with 3 or 4 days off weekly; flexible options may be available to fit your needs.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a senior care worker in a similar setting.
Currently working toward SVQ Level 3 and SSSC registration.
Professional, compassionate and motivated with good leadership.
Organised, flexible, with strong communication and leadership skills.
Confident in using IT applications.

Responsibilities

Support the Registered Nurse/Team Leader to assess, plan, implement and evaluate resident care.
Deliver hands-on personal care and lead the care team to high standards.
Motivate and supervise the team, coaching and providing leadership.
Maintain accurate records: assessments, care plans, resident reviews and evaluations.
Administering medication.
Lead by example to uphold safety and standards across the team.
