Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit. This full-time night position runs 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, 36 hours per week, with eligible weekend and shift differential. You will provide general nursing care across the continuum in a 24/7/365 department.

The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, and delegate tasks to LPNs and UAPs per the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, while contributing to safety and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio or a multi-state compact state.
• BLS certification
• BSN required after 5 years of employment

Responsibilities

• Assessment/Diagnosis - Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual (30%).
• Outcomes Identification/Planning - Documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs (30%).
• Implementation/Evaluation - Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes; revises plan of care with the team (20%).
• Leadership - Participates in process improvement activities to achieve clinical quality and patient satisfaction.
• Operations - Performs operational duties and supports department needs.
• As a High Reliability Organization, responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.
