Job summary

Sainsbury's Taunton Store is hiring for a part-time fixed-term role. You’ll work 30 hours per week, including night shifts from 21:00 to 07:00, and earn £13.23 per hour. The contract ends 2 January 2027, with shifts planned three weeks in advance and flexible work arrangements.

Ideal candidates are friendly, physically capable, and able to manage overnight disruption. Right to work in the UK is required, and training may include checkout and online order duties.

Qualifications

• Night shifts require energy and resilience for overnight work.
• Stock handling across warehouse to shopfloor, including moving goods.
• Customer service orientation to support shoppers and colleagues.
• Attention to detail to keep shelves tidy and accurate.
• Willingness to learn and use new digital tools and systems.

Responsibilities

• Getting the store ready for the day ahead by filling shelves and working at a steady pace overnight.
• Keeping workspace tidy, ensuring aisles are clean and presentable for customers.
• Collecting and moving stock safely from warehouse to shopfloor, including heavy items.
• Working across store areas including chilled and frozen sections.
• Using equipment and digital systems to complete tasks accurately and safely.
• Assisting in other areas, such as online order picking or checkout support when trained.
