Job summary
South Coast Nursing Homes, a family-owned care provider in East and West Sussex, invites applications for a Registered Nurse on night shifts at Pentlands Nursing Home in Worthing. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week (Mon, Tue, Fri nights) reporting to the Home Manager and involves delivering proactive clinical care with a dedicated team.
The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of nursing experience, a nursing degree or above, and strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of nursing experience.
- A Nursing degree or above.
- Ability to prioritise tasks to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
- Strong reporting skills both verbal and non-verbal.
- Experience in geriatric, frailty, and end-of-life care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of patient care and residents’ health and safety.
- Champion patient choice and autonomy, ensuring dignified and respectful care.
- Support the care team on duty and collaborate with colleagues for excellent resident care.
- Promote morale and effective teamwork; support staff as needed.
- Foster relationships with families, advocates, and next of kin; keep them informed.
