Job summary

Nexperia in Manchester is seeking a Group Leader to helm a production area in our wafer fabrication facility. Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will be responsible for area performance, safety and delivering production priorities during a four-night on/four-night off shift from 7pm to 7am.

You will lead and develop your team, coach performance, manage attendance and disciplinary matters, and work with engineering and planning to solve issues.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a production team in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to coach and mentor staff and conduct performance reviews.
• Strong planning skills to manage staffing, holidays and priorities.
• Good communication skills at all levels and data-driven decision making.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop your team to meet Fab priorities safely and efficiently.
• Monitor area performance and address production issues promptly.
• Manage attendance, disciplinary and capability processes fairly.
• Plan staffing levels and coverage including holidays and overtime.
• Work with engineering, planning and support to resolve issues.
• Use production data to identify trends and present updates.
• Support continuous improvement to safety, quality, throughput and cost.
• Manage indirect budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Build an engaged, accountable team aligned to targets.
