Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Personal Support Worker for a part-time night shift at Cheltenham Community. You will build meaningful relationships with residents, support daily living, and help residents live with dignity and comfort.

You must have a PSW program or be an internationally educated nurse with nursing credentials, provide bedside care, and work within care plans. A Vulnerable Sector Check is required to proceed.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a PSW program or be an internationally educated nurse with a nursing degree.
• Ability to provide bedside care and follow individual care plans.
• Demonstrated tact when interacting with residents, families and visitors.
• Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate approach to seniors.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident supervision and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Provide resident care and services; assist with communication aids and mobility devices.
• Administer medications under supervision of a registered health professional as trained.
• Ensure residents have access to mobility aids and call bells as needed.
• Offer cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support; oral/dental care.
• Encourage participation in programs run by the Resident Experience Team.
