Job summary

DPD is recruiting for a Plant Operative in the United Kingdom. The role involves night-shift warehouse work with state‑of‑the‑art sortation equipment, ensuring parcels meet size and weight regulations.

You will monitor compliance, clear blockages, support KPI improvements, and work with teams to meet nightly targets while adhering to safety policies. Comprehensive training and PPE are provided.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and police parcel compliance in the hub to meet size/weight rules.
• Clear induct and sorter blockages to keep operations running.
• Help improve hub KPIs like throughput and accuracy.
• Escalate issues to management promptly.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Maintain a proactive, positive attitude and adapt to new processes.
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies at all times.
• Support hub operations during peak periods and in other areas as needed.
• Keep the work area clean, tidy and hazard-free during shifts.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet nightly targets and deadlines.
• Adapt to changing priorities/workloads during busy periods.
