Job summary

CSS Recruitment & Training are currently looking for a Night Shift Supervisor to join one of our client's growing teams based in Colchester, Essex. The role runs 6pm–6am with 1 hour on-shift time (30 minutes paid, 30 minutes unpaid).

You will oversee production on the shop floor, coordinate line operations, ensure staff training, and uphold hygiene and GMP standards. There is potential to take an extra weekend day shift 7am–2pm at overtime rate.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a night shift in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to coordinate production lines and maintain workflow.
• Proven track record delivering training and ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth running of production on the shop floor.
• Coordinate line operations within the packhouse.
• Ensure all staff have correct training for their role.
• Maintain daily cleaning and hygiene standards.
• Report production performance to the Packhouse Manager.
• Complete documentation accurately and flag training needs.
