Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for night shifts in Caerphilly to keep food production lines running smoothly. The role is a standalone shift position requiring hands-on maintenance of conveyors, mixers, fillers and packaging gear on a 6pm–6am, 7-day fortnight pattern with every other weekend off.

Candidate will perform routine and preventative maintenance, diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems and uphold safety and food-safety

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing or food production.
• Multiskilled with mechanical bias preferred.
• Strong fault-finding across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a standalone shift engineer during night operations.
• Carry out routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on food production machinery.
• Identify issues and implement preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Respond to breakdowns efficiently during production hours.
• Diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
