Job summary

TXM Recruit is partnering with a leading automation and intralogistics company to hire a Nights Maintenance Shift Engineer in Glasgow. You will support onsite engineers, maintain distribution equipment, and optimize state‑of‑the‑art machinery to ensure smooth operations at the distribution facility.

The role requires NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with PLC and CMMS experience; 6% pension, private healthcare, and life insurance are among the benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with NDT methods and technologies.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and their functionality.
• Experience with CMMS and managing engineering inventory.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical disassembly and reassembly tasks, basic wiring, calibration, and system testing.
• Use CMMS to manage maintenance tasks and target high equipment utilization.
• Carry out reactive repairs within set timeframes to minimize downtime.
• Service and repair installed products and own issues to ensure swift resolutions.
• Interpret electrical schematics and work with 415V motor controls.
• Prioritize health and safety by conducting risk assessments.
• Follow assembly drawings and setup instructions with precision.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
