Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced HGV Technician for a prominent client. The role involves performing major and minor vehicle repairs, conducting preventive maintenance, and maintaining workshop inventory. Candidates must hold a level 3 qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and maintenance, possess a UK driving license, and be able to identify faulty components. Qualifications

  • You must be level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in HGV Vehicle Repair and maintenance.
  • You must have the ability to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards.
  • You need a UK driving license for the relevant vehicle classes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform major and minor repairs to vehicles.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance services.
  • Maintain cleanliness and inventory in the workshop.
  • Work with repair teams to diagnose and plan repairs.
  • Maintain records of repaired vehicles.
  • Provide emergency road repair services.
  • Complete and provide necessary documentation and paperwork.
  • Train recruits and trainees.
