Job summary

Autoskills-Uk in Northampton is seeking an experienced HGV Technician for a night shift to service and repair heavy vehicles in a professional workshop.

You will work 8:00pm to 6:30am, four nights per week, earning £23.00-£24.00 per hour depending on licences and experience, with a £1,500 annual Snap-on/Mac Tools voucher and ongoing training. The role emphasises fault finding, diagnostics and high-quality workmanship in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant HGV/Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification is required.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic fault-finding skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, professional approach with good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults.
• Completing job cards and repair documentation accurately.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
• Working as part of a professional team to minimise vehicle downtime.
