Job summary

A leading logistics firm in Wakefield is seeking a Shift Engineer to provide engineering expertise in maintenance and support for production equipment. You will conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and ensure equipment reliability in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will hold qualifications to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical engineering and have a proactive approach to maintenance. Qualifications

  • Experience in the FMCG industry and knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Ability to work at pace and a commitment to equipment reliability.
  • 17th edition wiring regulations knowledge would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections on production equipment.
  • Perform repairs during machinery breakdowns.
  • Monitor and calibrate equipment to ensure safety and quality.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines.
  • Engage in project work to improve equipment standards.
