Job summary

Evri Group in Croydon is seeking a Shift Manager to lead the depot operations team during night shifts, running driver pre-briefs and post-briefs and ensuring accurate documentation. You will communicate with drivers and customers via our IT systems to support operations.

The role emphasizes health and safety, resource planning, and efficient transport and fleet management to meet service standards. You will manage costs, oversee daily operations and ensure a smooth handover between shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the depot operations team, including resource planning and driver pre- and post-briefs.
• Manage transport, courier and fleet operations to meet service standards.
• Enforce health and safety procedures in line with site risk assessments.
• Oversee daily operations and promote best practices in the depot.
• Plan and allocate operational resources according to workload.
• Monitor costs and investigate any claims or discrepancies.
• Ensure effective handovers with clear, timely communication between shifts.
