Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking permanent Class 1 drivers for a full-time role. You will work 5 days out of 6, Sunday to Friday, with occasional night shifts starting at 10pm.

Duties include driving, warehouse/yard tasks, and excellent customer service. Role requires a full HGV C+E licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card, plus physical fitness for manual handling and independent working.

Qualifications

Full HGV Category C+E licence with relevant driving experience.
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties.
Reliable, trustworthy and safety-conscious.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Able to work independently and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

Drive safely and professionally, complying with all road traffic laws and company procedures.
Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and loaded safely.
Maintain compliance with Driver CPC, Digi Tacho, and Working Time Regulations.
Load and unload vehicles safely; carry out vehicle shunting duties; check fridge units and monitor temperatures; process customer returns.
Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance; complete all delivery paperwork accurately.
Handle customer payments (cash and cheques) in line with company procedures.
