Job summary

Waitrose & Partners in Hexham is seeking a Supermarket Assistant to support store operations and deliver excellent customer service. You will help keep shelves stocked, fulfil online orders, and work with the team to maintain a clean and welcoming shop floor.

The role includes night shifts (21:00–07:00) with a £3.75 per hour night premium and a temporary contract. Minimum age of 18 applies, with total hours around 27.75 per week.

• Willingness to support the whole branch as needed.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and in position.
• Fulfilling online orders for delivery to customers’ doors.
• Reduce wastage by due diligence and managing sell-by dates.
• Support wider shop team including checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy work environment.
