Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is hiring a Supermarket Assistant in Maidstone. You will help customers, stock shelves, and support online orders while maintaining a clean, safe shop floor. Various shifts include 20:00–02:00 and 04:00–08:00 with flexibility across seven days.

Trade experience is welcome; a proactive, friendly approach is valued. DBS checks may be required; the role is part-time and temporary, with a night premium for late hours.

Qualifications

• Clear communication to work with customers and team.
• Ability to work as part of a busy shop floor team.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and correctly placed.
• Fulfilling online orders for driver delivery.
• Reduce wastage through due diligence and markdowns on sell-by dates.
• Support the wider shop team including checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
