Are you a compassionate, patient and enthusiastic individual looking for a rewarding role where you can genuinely change lives?

At Brainkind, we're looking for Night Rehabilitation Support Workers to join our friendly and dedicated team at Kerwin Court in Horsham.

Whether you're an experienced Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant or completely new to care, we want to hear from you. You don't need previous experience in neurological rehabilitation – what matters most is your attitude, empathy and willingness to learn.

We'll provide the training and support you need to help adults living with acquired brain injuries feel safe and supported throughout the night, maintain their independence and continue making progress towards their rehabilitation goals.

About Kerwin Court

Kerwin Court is a specialist neurological rehabilitation service located in Slinfold, near Horsham, West Sussex.

We support adults living with acquired brain injuries and complex neurological conditions, helping them work towards their individual rehabilitation goals and enjoy the best possible quality of life.

Our approach is person-centred, focusing on each individual's strengths, abilities and aspirations. You'll work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists and Speech and Language Therapists, to provide practical, emotional and rehabilitation-focused support.

As a Night Rehabilitation Support Worker, you'll play an important role in ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable and supported throughout the night while encouraging independence and maintaining the skills they have developed during their rehabilitation.

What you'll be doing

No two nights are the same at Kerwin Court. You'll provide personalised overnight support that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing while helping individuals achieve meaningful rehabilitation goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting adults with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions with their evening and overnight routines.

  • Encouraging independence with everyday living skills, including personal care, mobility and daily activities.

  • Supporting residents to maintain their confidence, independence and rehabilitation progress.

  • Providing emotional support, reassurance and encouragement to residents throughout the night.

  • Responding sensitively to residents who may experience confusion, anxiety or distress.

  • Supporting individuals with medication administration, following appropriate training and care plans.

  • Monitoring residents' wellbeing and responding appropriately to changes in their needs.

  • Working closely with colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver consistent, person-centred care.

  • Promoting choice, dignity, independence and wellbeing in everything you do.

  • Maintaining accurate care records, completing shift handovers and following safeguarding procedures.

As a Night Rehabilitation Support Worker, you'll help create a safe, calm and supportive environment where residents can feel secure and continue working towards greater independence.

  • Enjoy working as part of a supportive team.

  • Are reliable, flexible and comfortable working night shifts.

  • Have good organisational skills and can manage your workload effectively.

  • Are comfortable supporting individuals with personal care and everyday living activities.
