A great opportunity has arisen for a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team working within our stunning, purpose-built, Veterinary Hospital.

This is an ideal chance for keen individuals to work in one of the UK's leading referral centres and develop their nursing skills. Experience of working in a referral environment is not required as full support and training will be provided for successful candidates. The successful candidate will be working alongside our team of Registered Veterinary Nurses, Surgical Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants to deliver gold standard veterinary care to our patients.

Main duties
  • Specialist ward nursing- Medicine and Surgical wards
  • Caring for patients within our intensive care unit
  • Working alongside our Specialist and primary veterinary surgeons
  • Support the emergency out of hours (OOH) team.
Rota

An example of a typical shift pattern for a 6‑week period would look something like this – however, we are open to rota considering a rota to fit around you.

Week 1 – 7 nights on clinic
Week 2 – Off
Week 3 – Off
Week 4 – 7 nights on clinic
Week 5 – Off
Week 6 – On call Mon‑Thurs
Week 7 – 7 nights
Week 8 – Off
Week 9 – Off
Week 10 – 7 nights on clinic
Week 11 – Off
Week 12 – On call Fri, Sat, Sun

On‑call duties are 8pm‑1am and are paid as part of your total working hours of 29.3 hours (average).

Our hospital facilities are of the highest quality, including on‑site Siemens 64‑slice CT, Siemens 1.5T MRI, two in‑theatre mobile image intensifiers, two digital radiography rooms, ultrasonography, electro diagnostic, video endoscopy and an extensive range of advanced surgical equipment.
