Department and Reporting

REPORTS TO: C&E Operations Manager

Primary Objective

To ensure that all guests receive a warm, memorable, and personalised welcome, ensuring requests are actioned. Responsible for security overnight, setting meeting and banqueting rooms to standard, and completing administrative tasks accurately and on time.

About The Role

Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Maximise customer satisfaction by ensuring proper arrangement of meetings, conventions, and banquets
• Ensure excellent customer care service to meet and exceed expectations
• Review daily event sheets and set up rooms accordingly
• Maintain good communication with all departments
• Know and care for all regular and VIP guests
• Handle, follow up, and communicate comments or complaints
• Complete shift tasks and ensure thorough handover
• Handle reservation enquiries and be aware of current offers
• Operate switchboard, credit card machines, alarm systems, and other front office systems
• Check-in late arrivals and check-out early departures as per procedures
• Make wake-up calls promptly
• Understand all Resort regulations
• Perform security checks and ensure access control
• Record and address unusual occurrences
• Assist with banquets, functions, and conferences setup and breakdown
• Take room service orders, prepare, and deliver
• Monitor lobby area and maintain cleanliness
• Prepare night audit reports as needed

Security, Health & Safety

• Maintain confidentiality of guest privacy
• Report suspicious behaviour and lost property
• Report hazards and follow emergency procedures
• Work safely and adhere to laws and regulations
• Maintain personal hygiene, dress, and conduct standards

Miscellaneous

• Communicate effectively with guests and staff
• Attend meetings and training
• Work flexibly as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized working area
• Understand hotel emergency procedures and local attractions

Skills Needed

• Customer service experience face-to-face

• Ability to work night shifts from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am for 5 nights/week
• Minimum 3 GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths
