Wroughton Academies in Gorleston-on-Sea is seeking a Night Owls Assistant to join our Wraparound Care Team and help create a safe, welcoming environment for pupils before and after the school day.

You will contribute to engaging activities, support children’s wellbeing, and foster strong relationships with families and staff. The role runs 14:50–17:25, Monday to Friday, on a permanent contract.

Qualifications

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills at Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with children within an educational setting.
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults.
  • Confidence and efficiency in managing behaviour.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Night Owls Assistant Location: Wroughton Academies, Gorleston-on-Sea, Norfolk Salary: Scale C, points 3-4 £24,796 - £25,185 (actual £7,256 - £7,370) Start Date: October 2026 Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: 12.92 hours, 38 weeks. 14:50 - 17:25, Monday - Friday Application Closing Date: 27th September 2026 Interview Date: w/c 5th October 2026 About You: Wroughton Academies are seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join our Wraparound Care Team as a Night Owls Assistant. You will enjoy working with children, helping to create a safe and engaging environment, and building positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
