Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Imaging Assistant (Band 2) to support Sonographers, Radiologists and nursing staff in a busy imaging department across radiography, ultrasound, CT, MRI and nuclear medicine. The post is based at Harrogate District Hospital and related sites.

The role requires 5 GCSEs, caring experience, numeracy and literacy, and progression opportunities via a preceptorship. The department operates 24/7 with overnight rosters.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs or equivalent.
• Caring experience.
• Numeracy and literacy.
• NVQ level III Clinical support worker or willingness to undertake this (or equivalent).
• Nursing support work/caring/clerical/organisational – some of each is required.

Responsabilités

• Assist Sonographers and Radiologists, Radiographic and Nursing staff in the imaging department across x-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI and Nuclear Medicine.
• Greet patients, help them wear gowns, assist with procedures and liaise with wards and clinicians.
• Provide clerical support and help ensure smooth operation of imaging services.
