Job summary

Cranswick Gourmet Kitchen is seeking Hygiene Operatives for the night shift to help maintain an audit-ready factory environment. You will follow hygiene schedules, perform deep cleaning, and ensure compliance with food safety standards.

The role requires prior food industry experience and a Food Safety Level 2 qualification, with a focus on accuracy, teamwork, and punctuality. Salary is discussed at interview, and the hours are Monday to Friday, 22:00–06:30.

Qualifications

• Prior experience within the food industry is required.
• Experience in Hygiene within a High-Risk Environment is advantageous.
• Food Safety Level 2 or more.
• Ability to communicate, understand and follow instructions with good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure hygiene schedules and cleaning instruction procedures, including deep cleaning, are completed to the required frequency.
• Ensure all quality standards are being followed and a clean, safe food environment is created.
• Champion site rules, regulations and good practices with regard to health and safety, food hygiene, quality standards and personal hygiene.
• Undertake the required training for all procedures/ cleaning Instruction cards, and chemical safety.
• Work as part of a team and help create a positive working environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility by being able to carry out a wide variety of tasks and adapting to the changing needs of the company.
• Work in cooperation with the wider team to be part of the site culture which drives food safety, H&S, ethical, environmental and energy behaviours.
