Night Housing Concierge

Salary 24638 per annum pro rata and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

Fixed Term contract (6 months) part time - 36 hpw and 24 hpw roles

Calling all night owls! Prefer staying awake and working through the night rather than snoozing away like the rest of us Were looking for 2 dedicated night workers to join our team who wont fall asleep on the job! If youre as energised as a new Duracell bunny with the alert skills of a meerkat this is the job for you!

What youll do

If you want a quiet and calm night security job then this is not the job for you!

There is so much more involved than just night working stuck in an office monitoring CCTV or patrolling the premises.

You are the first line of support for our customers when our wider team or their own support network arent around to help!

Youll manage the health and safety of the buildings patrolling to check fire doors making sure everything is locked safe and secure.

Thinking on your feet and managing a situation on the spot such as investigating suspicious activity or raising the alarm when we need to engage the emergency services.

Finally youll also record activity and help us make sure that everything is clean and tidy so you need to be ok with wielding the mop or broom as well!

Youll support the most vulnerable in society (maybe youve worked in public service or the military). You know whats required to look after the public and our customers too.

Youre sociable and interested in people and their stories and like getting to know people. You use your people insights and keen eye for detail to spot changes in behaviour.

You recognise when things are about to go wrong and are confident intervening in a sensitive way.

A team player with the confidence to work alone. Dont worry youll have the full back up of our wider team including our out of hours emergency support team.

The practical bits

Travel between our buildings across Exeter city centre

Working 12 hour shifts from 7pm to 7.30 or 8am on a 4 week rolling rota including weekends and bank holidays.

You must be able to use technology to monitor CCTV update records and ensure we log and report incidents promptly.

Youll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
