Job summary

UK Power Networks in the Bury St. Edmunds area are seeking a Night HGV Driver on a fixed-term 24-month contract. The role reports to the Logistics Transport Manager and focuses on physical delivery to plan, maintaining a 99% OTIF service level at the lowest possible cost.

Typical shifts run 16:00–00:00 Mon–Thu and 16:00–23:30 on Fridays. Required qualifications include HGV Class I or II, CPC, Sub Station Entry (First Aid) and FLT, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• HGV Class I or II Licence required.
• CPC certification required.
• Sub Station Entry with First Aid knowledge.
• FLT (Fork Lift Truck) certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to sites ensuring OTIF objectives are met.
• Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently while controlling costs.
• Perform daily vehicle and MHE checks and report defects.
• Maintain high safety standards and comply with HSS policies.
