Job summary

Culina Transport seeks a dedicated HGV Class 1 Shunter for nights at Workington (Iggesund Paper Mill, CA14 1JX). The role is permanent, full-time, with a 4 on 4 off pattern from 18:00 to 06:00, offering a salary of £35,294 per year.

You will move trailers safely around the yard, position them for loading, perform vehicle checks, and uphold strict safety standards while working closely with the transport team.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Vehicle checks and defect reporting ability.

Responsibilities

• Shunt trailers between loading bays and yard areas.
• Position trailers for loading/unloading.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report defects.
• Follow all site safety procedures and regulations.
• Collaborate with transport team to support daily operations.
