Job summary

Driver Hire Wakefield is seeking HGV drivers for full-time roles around Hull. We have Class 1 and Class 2 positions with night work for Class 1 and day work for Class 2, plus regular UK runs and local deliveries north of the UK.

The role includes a pay rate up to £63k per year, a £750 placement bonus after 12 weeks, and CPC training funded by the company. Temp-to-perm contract and Monday–Friday shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 / Class 2 licence.
• CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Night-time Class 1 wagon & drag trunking work or Class 2 multi drop day work.
• Regular runs to Manchester, Birmingham, and Stansted (Class 1).
• Local deliveries around North of UK.
• Minimal handball — focus on driving, not heavy lifting (Class 1).
• Handball involved on Class 2 opportunity.
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Representing the business professionally at delivery locations.
