Job summary

ABM is seeking a Relief Cleaning Operative to support multiple sites across London. You will cover day and night shifts, work 35 hours per week, and uphold our high cleaning standards.

Role requires reliable, flexible individuals with prior cleaning experience, good attention to detail, and the ability to travel between sites. Training on COSHH and safety procedures is provided, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience in a commercial, office, retail, healthcare, or educational environment.
• Ability to travel between sites.
• Good attention to detail.
• Reliable, flexible, and punctual.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties including: Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Dusting and wiping surfaces.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Cleaning toilets, washrooms, and replenishing consumables.
• Cleaning kitchens, staff areas, and communal spaces.
• Sanitising touchpoints and high-traffic areas.
• Clean 5 bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms.
• Follow cleaning schedules and work instructions.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and COSHH regulations.
• Report maintenance issues, accidents, damages, or health and safety concerns to management.
• Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards.
• Lock and secure premises where required.
• Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and report shortages.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.
