Job summary

Uniserve is seeking reliable and experienced Class 1 C+E Night Drivers to support our Warrington operation. The role involves night deliveries to closed stores, operating 12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off pattern, and handling cages with tail lift equipment.

You will be responsible for safe vehicle operation, daily checks, and accurate paperwork while maintaining high safety and customer service standards. This position offers solid pay and a challenging, physical role.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 C&E licence and Driver CPC.
• Physically able to move cages and perform manual handling.
• Understanding of Drivers Hours, WTD and road transport compliance.
• Flexible start times and shift patterns to meet operation needs.
• Desirable experience with tail lift equipment and multi-drop deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 C&E vehicles in line with legal, customer and company requirements.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Deliver cages into customer stores using tail lift equipment where required.
• Complete night deliveries to closed stores responsibly and independently, following all site procedures.
• Manually unload loaded cages and reload for return movement.
• Operate fixed and moving deck trailers as required by the operation.
• Complete all delivery paperwork, PODs and electronic records accurately and on time.
• Maintain compliance with Drivers Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph rules.
• Communicate delays, issues or changes to planners and customers.
• Represent Uniserve professionally with high safety and customer service standards.
