Job summary

Housing 21 is seeking a Care Worker for night shifts in Telford, Shropshire. The role covers 18 hours per week across 22:00–07:00 shifts, with occasional weekends; no travel between calls as residents live independently in their own apartments within our schemes.

You will support residents, help with daily tasks, meals, and personal care while building strong relationships within our Extra Care team. Training and progression to management are available.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and kind manner are essential for the role.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills are required.
• Willingness to undertake necessary further training.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with household tasks and personal care as needed.
• Prepare meals and drinks, help with shopping and light chores.
• Encourage residents to follow care plans and report changes to the team.
• Assist with getting up, washing, dressing, and evening routines; ensure medicines are taken as required.
• Maintain resident wellbeing and communicate progress to managers.
