About The Role

Night Care & Support Assistant

Location: Wickmeads Residential Home, Tuckton, Bournemouth, BH6 4LG

Pay Rate: £12.50-£12.75 per hour + paid breaks

Hours: 36.75 hours per week - 3 nights per week

Shifts: 19:45 - 08:00 (includes alternate weekend working)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Care & Support Assistant to join the team at Wickmeads, our residential care home, located a stone's throw from the idyllic Tuckton Gardens and River Stour, Christchurch, Dorset.

We want you to have a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents. You’ll need to be naturally compassionate and understanding of others. Previous care experience is not essential. A full induction and training programme will be provided to support you. If this sounds like you then we would love for you to join the team!

What you will be doing
  • Delivering excellent person centred care.
  • Supporting & encouraging our residents to remain as independent as possible.
  • Checking on residents on a regular basis - moving & positioning if required.
  • Providing elements of personal care including washing & undressing where needed.
  • Building relationships and providing companionship.
  • Working in a team to create a cooperative, friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the home.
