Job summary

Briar Hill House care home in Rugeley, operated by MHA, invites applications for a Care Assistant on a night shift. You’ll deliver personal and social care, supporting residents with dignity, independence and wellbeing, while aligning with MHA’s values of respect and concern for individuals.

We welcome applicants who are flexible across a rota, including weekends, and who are committed to training (Level 1 or 2 in social care encouraged) and safeguarding.

Qualifications

Respect and sensitivity for older people
Willingness to be trained and developed (Level 1 or 2 in social care encouraged)
Good communication and listening skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Caring nature with patience and empathy
Previous care experience desirable though not essential
Ability to work flexibly across a rota including weekends

Responsibilities

Act as a keyworker for a group of residents and support admissions
Participate in developing and reviewing individual care plans, including those for residents with dementia
Provide personal and social care in line with care plans, enhancing residents’ physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities, infection control, and health & safety practices
