Job summary

Handsale Ltd runs Swn-y-Mor Care Centre in Port Talbot, seeking experienced carers for night shifts. The role is full-time, 33 hours per week, with enhanced rate for overtime and a 28-day holiday entitlement.

You will work within a supportive, professional environment focused on dignity and safeguarding of residents. Applicants should have DBS checks and experience or qualifications in elderly care, with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory DBS checks.
• Experience or qualification in elderly care.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Friendly, upbeat personality; ability to work on own initiative.
• 28 days holiday (FTE) including bank holidays.
• Competitive pay £13.45 per hour with enhanced overtime rates.

Responsibilities

• Attend to residents' needs with patience and care.
• Assist with dressing, personal hygiene and mobility.
• Contribute to care plans and document updates.
• Promote residents' mental and physical activity.
• Report changes to Senior Care Assistant/Manager.
• Maintain accurate written records and participate in meetings.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and complete duties as required.
