Job summary

Barchester Healthcare Homes Limited is hiring a Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, meals, and companionship in a warm, caring environment.

You’ll follow care plans, help with activities, and provide one-to-one time, bringing empathy, patience and strong communication to every shift.

Full training is provided and you’ll join a team dedicated to high standards of compassionate care for older adults.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for older people or in a similar care setting.
• Can-do attitude and reliability in a demanding environment.
• Excellent communication skills with residents and colleagues.
• Warm, compassionate approach and patience in daily care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care.
• Support residents with food and drink and mealtimes.
• Follow individual care plans and document changes as required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll help residents enjoy each day by making sure they get the quality care and support they deserve. As a Care Assistant, you could be doing anything from supporting residents with their food and drink and following care plans to ensuring that each of our residents has one-to-one time. To join us as a Care Assistant you'll need to have some experience of caring for older people, a can-do approach and excellent communication skills.
