Gowrie House is a warm and welcoming 60-bed care home in the heart of Kirkcaldy, offering Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care. Our dedicated night team plays a vital role in ensuring residents feel safe, supported and comfortable while the rest of the world sleeps.

Whether you’re an experienced carer or looking to begin a meaningful new career in care, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference. You will join a compassionate and supportive team that values kindness, patience, and a willingness to learn.

As a Night Care Assistant, you’ll help residents with their evening and overnight routines, provide personal care with dignity and respect, monitor their wellbeing, and offer companionship when it’s needed most. You’ll be someone our residents can count on through the night, offering peace of mind and a reassuring presence.

What We Offer:

  • £12.70 per hour
  • Full-time or part-time contracts (minimum 22 hours per week)
  • Paid PVG, pension scheme, uniform and onsite parking
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
  • Ongoing training and the opportunity to work towards SVQ Level 2 or above

What We’re Looking For:
You may already hold an SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or be working towards it or you might simply have a natural caring nature and want to learn. What matters most is your reliability, empathy, and desire to support others. If you are committed to delivering excellent care and being a part of a team that puts residents first, we will provide the training and support you need to thrive.

About Us:
Gowrie House is part of Belsize Healthcare, a family-owned, market-leading care provider with over 100 homes across the UK. We are proud to offer a nurturing environment where both residents and staff can flourish.

Our five core values — Trust, Respect, Passion, Kindness, and Inclusivity — shape everything we do. If these values speak to you, and you’re looking for a role where you can truly make a difference, this could be the perfect place for you.
