Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking a Night Care Assistant to join Dukeminster Court in Dunstable, with 35 hours per week on a flexible full- or part-time basis. Shifts run from 9:30pm to 7:30am, with higher weekend rates (£14.47) and weekday rates (£13.47).

You will help residents with personal care, meals and daily activities, delivering compassionate, person-centred support overnight. Training is provided and a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care is encouraged.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience needed if you have a positive attitude and good communication.
• Willing to undertake all aspects of care to meet residents' needs.
• Training will be provided; Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and support, including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting, plus meals and hydration.
• Assisting residents with daily activities promoting independence.
• Building positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
• Follow individual personalised care plans.
• Work as part of a team to deliver high quality care.
• Ensure residents are safe and comfortable through the night.

We are seeking a Night Care Assistant to join our modern, purpose-built Care Home Dukeminster Court in Dunstable. Dukeminster Court is a modern and friendly 75 bed residential home based in the heart of Dunstable, where dedicated teams provide exceptional person-centred care in a warm, supportive and rewarding environment.

As a Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person-centred care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You'll Bring

• You'll be naturally compassionate and patient, it is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because as long as you have a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first-class training will do the rest.
• You'll be willing to undertake all aspects of care to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
• Training will be provided.
• A willingness to be trained and to achieve Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
• The ability to work shifts (including weekends and evenings).
• You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.
