Job summary

A healthcare recruitment agency is seeking a Community Mental Health Nurse to deliver mental health care within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include assessing care needs, mentoring staff, and promoting mental health practices. The ideal candidate should be a registered mental health nurse with at least 1 year of experience in the field. Areas of work include Derry/Londonderry and Northern Ireland. Qualifications

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with current registration on the NMC Register.

Job description
NHSCT Community MH Nurse Ballymoney Community Mental Health Team

The post holder will work within a multidisciplinary team and will be responsible for the delivery of mental health nursing care to a range of service users and their families within a collaborative, recovery orientated framework. The post holder has responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of care. The post holder will be required to mentor nursing and non-nursing staff as appropriate. The post holder will promote good mental health nursing practices, including initiating and coordinating comprehensive assessments for service users, in line with the care co-ordination/ care management process. He/she will always act in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.

  • Communicates with people in a form and manner that is consistent with their level of understanding, culture, background and preferred ways of communicating
  • Recognises and reflects on barriers to effective communication and modifies communication in response
Skills and Qualifications
  • 1 years’ experience working as a registered mental Health Nurse in a mental health setting
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with current registration on the NMC Register. Must be eligible to practice
