Job summary

Evolve Staffing Ltd is recruiting compassionate Band 2 Healthcare Assistants to support acute NHS hospital wards in Bristol and surrounding areas. Join a multidisciplinary clinical team working with RNs, ward sisters and doctors to deliver patient-centred care and maintain high standards of IPC and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months recent experience as a Healthcare Assistant in an acute UK NHS hospital ward.
• Care Certificate or NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable.
• Proven competency in taking vital signs, manual handling, infection control and patient record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with personal hygiene, nutrition, hydration and continence support.
• Record baseline observations and calculate NEWS2; escalate deterioration as needed.
• Assist with basic wound checks, specimen collection and urinalysis testing.
• Support ward operations, infection control, and safeguarding under NHS governance.
