Op COURAGE, based at St Pancras Hospital, operates in a range of community settings to support consistent access to care and treatment. It is an NHS-led partnership alongside three Forces-friendly charities, Walking with the Wounded, Stoll and The Ripple Pond.

Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological assessment and treatment to veteran clients using interviews, formal psychometric and other assessment methods as appropriate.
  • Deliver veteran-sensitive formulations and interventions, including trauma focused therapy and emotional regulation work for individuals with complex PTSD.
  • Offer advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to referrers, non-psychologist colleagues, and other non-professional carers.
  • Draw up and coordinate specialist veteran-specific risk assessments and care plans involving partner agency workers and peers.
  • Liaise with wider NHS, statutory bodies, local authorities and the third sector to ensure appropriate support is in place for veterans and their families.
  • Support and collaborate in audit and data collection, management and analyses, and supervise team members (research assistant, senior administrator – data, honorary assistants) in clinical outcome data collection.
  • Contribute to governance and audit within the team, mentoring and supervision, and operate to the requirements of the service operational policy and strategy.
  • Deliver safe, evidence-based, effective, culturally competent care in a timely manner.
Benefits
  • Transforming and creating a positive environment for our service users, staff and visitors.
  • Opportunities for staff development through leadership behaviour programmes and numerous additional training options.
  • Flexible working and support with a range of health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • NHS discounts, generous annual leave allowance and NHS pension scheme.
  • Consistently high-quality care closer to home, equity of outcome, great places to work and a supportive environment.
