PA Consulting seeks a Principal Consultant to lead Healthcare Operations & Improvement engagements across NHS trusts and ICSs. The role combines NHS operational expertise with consulting delivery to achieve system-wide impact and sustainable improvements.

You will drive large-scale transformation, engage senior stakeholders, and lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver measurable outcomes and benefits realization in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex improvement programmes within NHS organisations.
• Proven ability to deliver measurable operational and financial improvements.
• Experience across NHS providers, ICSs or national bodies is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of large-scale NHS transformation programmes.
• Drive operational and financial productivity improvements.
• Lead Cost Improvement and productivity programmes within a consulting context.
• Coordinate system-wide transformation across ICSSs and provider collaboratives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior NHS stakeholders and executives.
• Engage at Board/Executive level within Trusts and systems.
• Navigate complex stakeholder environments and competing priorities.
• Drive measurable outcomes and ensure benefits realisation.
• Lead and develop project teams with coaching and quality assurance.
