Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is offering a 12-month Band 3 Administrator position at HMP Leyhill, working Monday to Friday in a Cat D prison environment. The role supports service delivery, patient care pathways, and operational functions with multidisciplinary teams.

The successful candidate will be an organised, proactive communicator who can build working relationships across teams, using SystmOne and standard Microsoft tools to manage records and correspondence efficiently.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams.
• Organised and adaptable with proactive problem-solving.
• Willingness to work in a Cat D prison environment.

Responsibilities

• Copy/audio typing and word processing for reports, letters and discharge summaries.
• Handle incoming correspondence daily, distribute actions and escalate urgent items.
• Prepare and present statistical returns as required.
• Arrange medical staff rosters, meetings and related admin tasks.
• Maintain secure client filing systems, confidential records and archives.
• Attend and minute meetings, including case conferences and team meetings.
• Diary management, photocopying, faxing and ordering of supplies.
• Utilise SystmOne, email, intranet, Internet and Microsoft packages.
