At Clayponds Hospital, a 72‑bedded community rehabilitation facility with a satellite dispensary supporting both inpatient and community services, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our team immediately via agency. With your MMT and ACT qualifications, you will be instrumental in supporting our pharmacy services. Your strong leadership skills and experience with electronic prescribing systems will be crucial as we roll out new processes across the unit. Working alongside a team who values collaboration and diligence, you’ll manage a team of two to four technicians and report directly to the Inpatient Lead and Head of Pharmacy.

What you will do

• Manage and supervise a team of pharmacy technicians to ensure optimal operation of the dispensary.
• Engage with ward work, cover dispensary tasks, and perform MMT activities during staffing shortages.
• Lead external site audits to ensure the safe and secure storage of medicines, FP10s, and oxygen.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the efficient implementation of the electronic prescribing system.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting to enhance medication management and patient care.
