Job summary

Rydon is recruiting an experienced Building Maintenance Electrician to join the NHS maintenance and repair team in the South East. You will perform electrical repairs across Sussex and Surrey, including emergency lighting testing as part of PPM tasks, and may assist with basic building trades.

The role operates 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with an on-call rota to boost earnings. A competitive starting salary and comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial electrical maintenance, ideally within FM or NHS settings.
• NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in electrical installations and 18th edition required.
• 2391 testing/inspection experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide repairs to ambulance stations, make-ready centres and emergency outposts.
• Carry out commercial electrical repairs and maintenance including circuit breakers, controls, fuses, lights and motors.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance, such as emergency lighting testing.
• May assist with basic plumbing, carpentry and ironmongery depending on qualifications.
