An excellent opportunity has arisen for a talented Criminal Litigation Solicitor (1–2 years PQE) to join a leading niche Litigation Law firm within the Criminal Team. The firm is renowned for its exceptional Dispute Resolution and Criminal Defence practice.

Our client is a highly regarded, Legal 500‑recognised firm with an established reputation across criminal and civil litigation. The wider Dispute Resolution Department offers a full range of services including commercial disputes, Criminal Fraud, regulatory and sanctions.

Criminal Litigation Solicitor — Position Overview:

You will manage a varied caseload of criminal matters, providing high‑quality legal advice and representation to clients at police stations, Magistrates’ and Crown Courts. This is an exciting opportunity to work on both sensitive and complex cases within a supportive, high‑performing team.

Key Responsibilities of the Criminal Litigation Solicitor:
  • Represent clients at police stations, Magistrates’ and Crown Courts
  • Prepare and manage criminal defence cases from instruction through to trial
  • Advise clients on a broad range of criminal law matters, including serious crime
  • Liaise with counsel, experts, and witnesses throughout the case lifecycle
  • Manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision and autonomy
  • Contribute to business development and departmental growth
  • Maintain outstanding client care and uphold firm standards
Requirements of the Criminal Litigation Solicitor:
  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 1‑2 years’ PQE in criminal defence or litigation
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Client‑focused, professional, and proactive approach
